The South Western International Film Festival is a not-for-profit, new media event that aims to establish Sarnia-Lambton as a ubiquitous cultural hub in Canada. By focusing on artist engagement, youth participation, and our evolving diversity, SWIFF creates unique and exciting cinematic and multimedia experiences for our entire community while opening its doors to visitors from far and wide. Our inaugural digital event last year - and our sixth consecutive annual festival - was a great success, and we're excited to relaunch SWIFF with a hybrid in-person/digital event November 2021. Based on the response we've received from our audiences and guests of the festival, we're committed to being a cultural and entertainment in the area for years to come.
SWIFF is one of those unique events that caters to every demographic. We have a free program for high school students (14 to 19) that kicks off the festival Thursday morning; a family film Saturday afternoon, (kids under 12 get in FREE); and our core audience consists of adults invested in Arts/Culture aged 25 to 80.
