The South Western International Film Festival is a not-for-profit, international, new media, cultural event that aims to establish Sarnia-Lambton as a cultural hub for South Western Ontario. By focusing on artist engagement, youth participation and our evolving diversity, SWIFF will create a unique and exciting cinematic experience for the entire community while opening its does to visitors far and wide. Our inaugural event last November was a massive success. Based on the response we received from our audience and filmmakers who attended, we’re committed to being a cultural and entertainment institution in the area for years to come.
SWIFF is one of those unique events that caters to every demographic. We have a free program for high school students (14 to 19) that kicks off the festival Thursday morning; a family film Saturday afternoon, (kids under 12 get in FREE); and our core audience consists of adults invested in Arts/Culture aged 25 to 80.
